The Month of October in Naíonáin Bheaga!

October 24, 2016

Junior Infants have been learning and working really hard this month. Our play theme was 'Houses and Homes'.

We read the story 'The Three Little Pigs' and we really enjoyed it. We decided to set up a 'Three Little Pigs' play area in our playroom. We used sellotape to build our stick house. Unfortunately it did not keep the wolf out!

We put animals that live in sandy places in our sandbox. We also put some materials from our school garden in there too.

In our role play area we set up a house with a kitchen and sitting room. We loved washing the dishes and making cups of tea in the kitchen!

We went on a nature walk to our school garden. We found lots of Autumn leaves and conkers!

We had a 'Goal Jersey Day' in school to raise money for those in need.

We really enjoy maths time in school. In these pictures you can see we are working as a team to sort all the objects into different groups.

We like to stay active throughout the day. Here is an action shot of one of our movement breaks!
