Have a look at some of the interesting and exciting things we got up to:
We worked together in groups to come up with our classroom rules at the beginning of the school year.
We were stone mad about rocks and soils!
We met our Cinnirí. they are in 6th class and set a good example for us. They talk to us about wearing the correct uniform, eating healthy lunches, working hard and being nice to each other.
We talked a lot about the Global Goals. We read stories about children who are refugees or asylum seekers. We discussed the differences between their lives and ours.
We designed posters to raise awareness about some of the goals.
We met the children's author Debbie Thomas in the Dundrum Library. She told us all about her novels and why she became an author. She had lots of interesting things to show us and we asked her lots of questions. Maybe one of us will be a famous children's author in the future!
We met Tony from the Dublin Fire Brigade. He spoke to us about fire safety in the home. We learned a lot and became aware of the importance of having an escape plan.
We were very excited when local Naomh Olaf player Davy Byrne arrived with the Sam Maguire!
We wore our Naomh Olaf jerseys with pride!
We enjoy going to the computer room. We learned how to use Padlet this year and enjoy sharing our opinions on it. It's fun watching your classmates thoughts appear on the screen as they type them!
