Update from Ms. Jennings' Rang 2!

January 9, 2018

Happy New Year from Ms. Jennings' 2nd Class! We hope that you enjoyed the Christmas holidays. We are back and ready to learn lots this term but before we get too far into January we wanted to share some of the things that we did in the first term.

We enjoyed working on the computers in the Computer Room.

We designed and planned our own constructions and made some impressive buildings using all sorts of materials.

During Science Week we did some brilliant experiments with Ms. McGinley.

We visited the school garden before it got too cold and enjoyed doing some sketching and learning about the apple trees that grow there! We also liked reading out in the fresh air.

Hallowe'en was great fun and we all dressed up and went to the cake sale. Paul our caretaker made a scary haunted house in the halla! We got a chance to walk through. It was great! Here we are in our costumes:

By Christmas every single one of us had earned our bronze medal and we are looking forward to continuing to do our best and work towards our silver medal this term. Ms. Jennings thinks that we're great workers and says that as long as we're trying our best we should be proud of ourselves. Here is a photo of some of us about to receive our medal at tionól (assembly):

We hope that you've enjoyed our update. This term is going to be busy, particularly because we'll be preparing for our First Reconciliation which will take place at the end of February. We'll be sure to let you know how we get on later in the term!
